Daniel A. Kohl worked as a senior member of J Street’s staff from 2009 to 2012, overseeing JStreetPAC and its donor-related political advocacy efforts as Political Director and Vice President for Political Affairs. Dan’s record of involvement in the organized Jewish community includes serving on the boards of American Jewish Committee, Milwaukee Jewish Federation, Milwaukee Jewish Day School (as Board Chair), Washington Hebrew Congregation and University of Wisconsin-Madison Hillel. An experienced political fundraiser, Dan served on the National Finance Committees of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Kerry, and he ran as a candidate for the Wisconsin State Assembly in September 2008. Dan currently serves as Senior Advisor with Baker Hostetler’s government practice group. He also spent 14 years working for the Milwaukee Bucks NBA basketball team in a variety of management capacities and served as the SEED Foundation’s Wisconsin Director of New Schools Development. Dan is a 1987 graduate of Brown University and holds a law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s in history from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dan and wife Stacey live in Bethesda, Maryland, and have three children, Samantha, Benjamin and Adam.
