Mr. Patrick J. Dooley, JD has been General Counsel at Corvex Management LP since January 21, 2014. Previously, Mr. Dooley was a Partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer Feld LLP. Mr. Dooley co-headed Akin Gump Strauss Hauer Feld's mergers and acquisitions practice group in New York and his practice centers on providing advice to corporate and investment fund clients in complex advisory and transactional matters. Mr. Dooley has extensive experience in domestic acquisition transactions, including negotiated and unsolicited transactions, as well as in representing investment groups and issuers in private equity and capital markets matters. He has represented companies in the telecommunications, high-technology and public utility industries. He also provides compliance and trading advice to investment funds and other clients in connection with ownership positions in public companies. He is a member of the New York and Massachusetts Bars. Mr. Dooley received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1977, his J.D. cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982 and his M.B.A. from Canisius College in 1983.
