Ken Spain specializes in helping companies and industry groups overcome challenges to their reputations and their public-policy objectives. In his previous role, Spain led corporate communications and external affairs for Koch Industries, the second-largest privately-held company in the U.S. He played a central role in the development and execution of the company’s national branding campaign, We Are Koch. Before that, he managed communications and public affairs for the Private Equity Council (now the American Investment Council), the industry association for the world’s leading private-equity firms. He helped defend the industry from outside criticism during the 2012 presidential campaign.
