Richard serves as lead independent director and chairman of the company's Audit and Risk Committee. Mr. Alexander brings over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Richard currently is or has been a director of Parallel Energy Trust, Pan Orient Energy, and Oryx Petroleum, as well as several private and not-for-profit entities. Richard served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Parallel Energy Trust from March 2013 to March 2016. Prior to Parallel Energy Trust, Richard was the President and Chief Operating Officer of AltaGas Ltd and also held the positions of EVP and CFO. Prior to AltaGas, Richard was VP of finance and CFO for Niko Resources Ltd., and earlier served as VP of investor relations and communications of Husky Energy Inc., a publicly-traded integrated energy company based in Alberta, Canada. Richard is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Management Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Ryerson University.
