Bob Abboud was born in 1956 in Boston, Mass. A third generation Christian Lebanese American, Bob, his parents and two sisters moved to the Chicago area when he was four and has lived in Barrington Hills since 1968. Bob and his wife Patricia are proud parents and grandparents. Bob received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University, and was accepted into the US Navy Submarine Nuclear Weapons program; prior to his commission he chose instead to serve his country at Argonne National Laboratory in order to support energy/advanced nuclear reactor development. From Northwestern University Bob received his Masters of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering. For 20 years, Bob worked for ComEd as a Senior Nuclear Engineer, leaving to run RGA Labs, Inc., his own consulting, research-and-development, design and engineering firm. In 2001, Bob Abboud was elected as Barrington Hills Village Trustee, and in 2005 was elected President .
