Flamboyan’s partnership with 24 public schools has resulted in improved teacher morale, increased student attendance, improved student behavior, increased standardized test scores, and drastic increases in family participation in all facets of their kids’ education. In Puerto Rico, the foundation is building a more engaged and strategic philanthropic sector for education and is leading an effort to identify, replicate, and celebrate Puerto Rico’s most outstanding public school teachers. Vadim and Kristin previously co-founded Sapientis, a not-for-profit organization committed to improving public education in Puerto Rico by mobilizing a diverse and informed network of change agents. Vadim also is an active member, and former Board Chairman, of Rare – an international environmental not-for-profit organization.
