Thomas Stuart Smith

Mr. Smith was appointed to the additional office of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Adams Resources & Energy in February 2015; he has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors since November 2013. He retired from KSA Industries, Inc. (“KSAI”), an affiliate of the Adams Resources & Energy on March 20, 2015 where he had been President since November 2013. Previously, Mr. Smith was an Executive Vice President with KSAI for more than five years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Texas. Mr. Smith also beneficially owns 46.9 % of the Adams Resources & Energy’s outstanding common stock.
