Masato Iwasaki

Masato Iwasaki is the President of Japan Pharma Business Unit of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. and has been a Director and Member of the Takeda Board since 2012. Mr. Iwasaki joined Takeda in 1985 and had an extensive career in sales and marketing under the Pharmaceutical Marketing Division. In 2003, he was appointed as Manager of Strategic Product Planning and Project Leader for the Cardiovascular and Metabolic franchise. He was named Senior Vice President of the Strategic Product Planning department in 2008 and served as Corporate Officer in 2010. Mr. Iwasaki holds a doctorate in Medical Science from Juntendo University and a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences in Japan. Mr. Iwasaki is based in Japan.
