Peter N. Larson died on September 1, 2023, at the age of 84. Larson was born in Portland, Oregon, in 1939. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1960 with a degree in business administration. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy for four years. In 1967, Larson joined Johnson & Johnson, where he held a variety of leadership positions in the company's consumer products division. In 1978, he joined Kimberly-Clark as president of consumer products. He returned to Johnson & Johnson in 1990 as company group chairman for North America, and was promoted to worldwide chairman of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products in 1992. In 1995, Larson became chairman and CEO of Brunswick Corporation, a producer of recreational products. He retired from Brunswick in 2000. Larson served on the boards of directors of numerous companies, including CIGNA, COMPACT Computer, COTY Cosmetics, and the New York Stock Exchange. He was also a member of the boards of the U.S. Winter Olympic Committee, St. Mary's Food Bank, and The Advertising Education Foundation. Larson was a founding member of the Pre-K Now board of directors. Larson was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Lee; daughter, Dana; son-in-law, Wayne Boote; grandchildren, Izzy and Gunnar; adopted son, Ryan Artigues; wife, Charlotte; and brothers, Rick and Steve Larson. Peter served on numerous Board of Directors including, CIGNA Inc, COMPACT Computer Inc, COTY Cosmetics, N.Y. Stock Exchange, U.S. Winter Olympic Committee, St. Mary’s Food Bank and The Advertising Education Foundation. Peter is survived by his wife Lee, daughter Dana, son-in law Wayne Boote, and grandchildren Izzy and Gunnar, adopted son Ryan Artigues and wife Charlotte, and brothers Rick and Steve Larson.
