Barney Keller is a Partner at Jamestown Associates, and an award-winning Republican media strategist. In 2016, Barney produced the winning TV ads and direct mail for Congressman Warren Davidson (R-OH). In less than three months Davidson, who started as an unknown businessman, came from behind to win a 20-way special election to replace Speaker John Boehner in the House of Representatives. Barney also wrote and produced ads and mail for Governor Chris Sununu (NH) and Congressman Trey Hollingsworth (IN), and worked on independent expenditure and issue advocacy campaigns in support of Senator Pat Toomey (PA), Senator Rand Paul (KY), and Congressman Jim Banks (IN), among others. Barney came to Jamestown after serving four years as the Communications Director of the Club for Growth. During his tenure at the Club, Barney helped lead the organization’s issue advocacy campaigns, and acted as their primary spokesman. He also served as a political and communications adviser to the Club’s affiliated PAC and Super-PAC. Prior to joining the Club for Growth, Barney served as the Deputy Communications Director on Pat Toomey’s winning campaign for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. He also worked on Rick Lazio’s campaign for Governor of New York, and was Communications Director at the Massachusetts Republican Party, and Press Secretary at the New Hampshire Republican Party. He got his start in politics as Press Secretary on Jim Ogonowski’s campaign for Congress in Massachusetts. A native of Belmont, Massachusetts, Barney graduated from the University of Chicago with degrees in both Economics and Sociology. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, daughter, and dog.
