Veronica McGregor has deep experience in all aspects of the payments landscape. Veronica works with companies ranging from FinTech startups to major technology companies as well as those investing in FinTech. Specifically, her practice focuses on payment systems, financial services, virtual and cryptocurrencies, mobile banking payments/commerce, prepaid cards, consumer lending, anti-money laundering issues, and privacy/data security. She represents businesses and individuals across a variety of financial services-related matters. Her clients include technology companies, banks, payment system providers, virtual currency platforms, retailers, social networking companies, gaming companies, online service providers, and app developers. With entrepreneurial DNA inherited from her father and over 15 years of bank regulatory training, Veronica is uniquely suited to partner with clients on the front lines of FinTech product development. She serves as an interpreter in partnerships between regulated entities, like banks, and unregulated entities, such as tech companies. She helps businesses navigate the patchwork of state and federal laws and regulations that they inevitably encounter as they design innovative payment systems. Ms. McGregor was previously a partner with Hogan Lovells, and also practiced as of counsel at Jones Day and Perkins Coie, respectively. She joined Goodwin in 2016.
