Ellen Mattleman Kaplan came to City Hall at the start of the Kenney administration in January 2016. As chief integrity officer, she is proud and excited to work with the Mayor and thousands of City employees, who are committed to providing ethical, transparent, and accessible government. Before joining the office, Kaplan served as vice president and policy director at the government watchdog, Committee of Seventy; as managing director of public policy and communications at Greater Philadelphia First, a regional business and civic leadership organization; as issues director for Sam Katz’s 1999 Mayoral Campaign; as associate director for Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, a statewide, non-partisan judicial reform group; and as Philadelphia assistant district attorney.
