Michael Forman is the Chairman & CEO of FS Investments and has been leading the company since founding it in 2007. Mr. Forman serves as Chairman and CEO of each of the firm’s funds and chairs most fund investment committees. Prior to co-founding FS Investments, Mr. Forman founded a private equity and real estate investment firm. He started his career as a corporate and securities lawyer. Mr. Forman is a member of a number of civic and charitable boards, including The Franklin Institute (Board of Trustees), Vetri Community Partnership (Chairman), Drexel University (Board of Trustees), The Barnes Foundation (Corporate Leadership Board member), the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (Corporate Council member) and the Center City District Foundation (Board of Directors). He serves as the Co-Chair of the Capital Campaign for The Philadelphia School. He was a founding member and served on the Executive Committee of the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT). He also served The University of the Arts as a Trustee and Executive Committee member of its Advancement and Investment Sub-Committee. Mr. Forman received his BA from the University of Rhode Island where he graduated summa cum laude and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. He received his JD from Rutgers School of Law. Mr. Forman is married and lives with his wife and three daughters in Philadelphia.
