Cindy S. Ahn

Cindy is responsible for investment sourcing, due diligence, and monitoring of portfolio investments. She is an accomplished attorney with nearly 20 years of experience as a member of the Intellectual Property groups of some of the most prestigious law firms in the country, including Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP; Kirkland & Ellis, LLP; Schiff Hardin, LLP; and Global IP Law Group, LLC. Cindy also worked for Abbott Laboratories, and served as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Third Wave Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded molecular diagnostics company. Cindy has assisted companies in the licensing, sale, and enforcement of intellectual property rights in a wide array of industries, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, bio-similars, electronics, computers, software, telecommunications, medical devices, and many others. Cindy has significant experience litigating complex intellectual property matters in federal courts throughout the United States, before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She has particular experience with Hatch-Waxman (“ANDA”) pharmaceutical patent cases. Cindy is a Registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Cindy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois and graduated from American University Washington College of Law, cum laude, and was a member of The American University Law Review.
