Eric Rasmussen advises clients on a range of federal administrative and legislative matters, with a particular focus on health care policy. Mr. Rasmussen brings an insider’s understanding of the legislative process to bear for his clients, working on Capitol Hill and within regulatory agencies to further client interests. Mr. Rasmussen represents a wide range of health care clients including trade associations, patient and provider groups, medical societies, and companies in the durable medical equipment, pharmaceutical, and over-the-counter medication industries. Before joining the firm, Mr. Rasmussen worked for U.S. Senator Mike Crapo as the Senator’s lead policy advisor and legislative strategist in the areas of health care, education, labor, and Social Security. In that capacity, Mr. Rasmussen worked closely with the Senate Finance Committee during negotiations on Medicare and Medicaid reform, budget reconciliation, and SCHIP overhaul legislation. He has also interned in the office of U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch, and worked on the Senator’s re-election campaign. In addition, Mr. Rasmussen has volunteered for House election campaigns, and served as a State Department consultant to the G-8 World Leader’s Summit in 2004.
