Terence Foster McGuirk, also known as Terry, has been the Chief Executive Officer of The Atlanta Braves since 2001. Mr. McGuirk served as the President of the company. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Turner Entertainment Group, Inc. Mr. McGuirk served as Chief Executive Officer of Turner Sports Teams, the owner and manager of three Atlanta sports franchises such as, the Thrashers, the Braves and the Hawks since April 2001. Mr. McGuirk has been the Chairman of Atlanta Braves, Inc. since 2001 where he maintains executive oversight of all aspects of this baseball franchise, including player personnel, team operations and Turner Field. He served as Executive Vice President of Turner Broadcasting System Inc. since 1990. Previously, he served as Vice President of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. from 1979 to 1990. From 1996 to April 2001, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. He joined Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. in 1972 as an account executive. He served as Vice Chairman and Director of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a subsidiary of AOL Time Warner, from 2001 to May 2007. He served as an Independent Director of Haverty Furniture Companies Inc. from June 2002 to May 9, 2016. He has been a Director of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. since 1987. Mr. McGuirk serves as a Director of Piedmont Hospital Medical Center, Sea Island Company, of Atlanta Braves, Inc., Georgia Research Alliance and Westminster School. He served as a Director of Scientific-Atlanta, LLC since 2001. He served as a Director of Barconet NV.
