Kathy Miljanic primarily practices federal transportation law with an emphasis on aviation and airport matters. Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson in 1995, Kathy practiced transportation law at another Washington-based law firm. Kathy represents a variety of clients, including corporate aircraft owners, corporate owners of aeronautical companies, fractional aircraft ownership management companies, aircraft and engine manufacturers, U.S. cargo and passenger airlines, charter carriers, foreign air carriers, and airport managers and authorities. She regularly counsels clients on compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, security issues, international regulation of business aviation, and commercial transactions involving aeronautical companies. Kathy also advises clients with respect to structuring corporate aircraft ownership, aircraft leasing, licensing, participating in National Transportation Safety Board investigations, and influencing the development of laws and rules related to air transportation. While at law school, Kathy was an editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
