Ms. Krueger has worked to maximize value for investments in stressed and distressed situations including turnarounds, liquidations, balance sheet restructurings and litigations. She has participated on creditor and ad hoc committees in numerous bankruptcies, such as Lehman Brothers, CIT, Innkeepers, Refco, Inc. and Filene’s Basement/Syms Corp. Ms. Krueger has served on the Board of Directors of both private and public companies, including Eagle Hospitality Properties Trust, Kids Brands, Inc. (Russ Berrie and Company), and FAO Schwarz Inc. Ms. Krueger has also worked during her career in a day-to-day operational capacity, serving in leadership positions within two companies. After Syms Corp emerged from bankruptcy in 2012, Ms. Krueger served as the CEO of Trinity Place Holdings Inc., the reorganized public company, overseeing all operations of the company and reporting to the Board of Directors of the company. While at The D. E. Group, she served as the Chief Restructuring Officer of FAO Schwarz, where she oversaw the company’s restructuring plan and search for a new CEO. From 2010 to 2014, Ms. Krueger was a Managing Member of Esopus Creek Advisors LLC, a hedge fund focused on opportunistic debt and equity investments. Prior to Esopus, Ms. Krueger worked in The D. E. Shaw Group’s credit-related opportunities group for six years making investments across the capital structure in both public and private securities. Earlier in her career, Ms. Krueger was in the restructuring group at Lazard Frères & Co. LLC where she advised on numerous large restructurings such as Adelphia Communications Corporation, US Industries, Inc. and 360networks, Inc. Ms. Krueger holds an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University and received her MBA from Columbia Business School where she was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Ms. Krueger is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Finance at Columbia Business School where she has taught the course Misunderstood Securities since 2012. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Columbia Business School’s Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing.
