Lawrence V Stein

Mr. Stein was appointed Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of the Corporation in 2001. He had served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel since 2000, and Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel for Wyeth-Ayerst Global Pharmaceuticals and Genetics Institute, Inc. and Associate General Counsel for the Corporation since 1997. Mr. Stein joined Genetics Institute as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 1992, following the initial investment by Wyeth in Genetics Institute in January 1992. Previously, he had been at the law firm of Arnold & Porter where he had practiced since 1976 and had been a partner since 1984. Mr. Stein received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1976. He received an A.B., cum laude, from Columbia College in 1971 and an M.A. from Cornell University in 1974.
