Patrick John Daley

Patrick John Daley passed away Feb. 5 2016 due to complications from a massive heart attack on Dec. 19 2015. Patrick graduated from the University of Vermont in 1976 and received his Masters at Boston University in 1980. He began his career as a teacher at Essex Middle School, worked for MacMillan Publishing and for the past 25 years he was well loved and a loyal employee and colleague at Scholastic Corporation in New York City, where he served as Senior Vice-President. Patrick authored many children's and young teen's books. He so loved inventing and implementing programs and tools so that the struggling young reader could learn to love to read. He sadly leaves behind his loving partner for life and husband, Daryl Hair and their nephew, Julian of Brooklyn, his sisters, Kathy Daley Carlos and her husband, John of Sacramento, CA. Mary Daley Lorrain and her husband, Paul of Colchester and their daughter, Patrick's pride and joy, Mora of Essex Junction.
