Mr. Segall has overall responsibility for Versa Capital and its investment strategies including leadership and supervision of the investment and portfolio management activities of the firm and its affiliated investment funds. He has led Versa and its predecessors since their founding in 1992. He has been engaged in executing and investing in business turnarounds, restructurings, reorganizations and other Special Situations across a wide variety of industries and circumstances for more than 25 years, and he is actively involved in overseeing all of Versa's investments. He is Chairman of the firm's Investment, Portfolio and Management Committees, and is currently a Director of Versa's portfolio companies Allen-Vanguard International, Avenue Stores, Bell + Howell, Black Angus Steakhouses, BridgeStreet Worldwide, Hatteras Yachts, Polartec, Eastern Outfitters, Wet Seal, Syncardia Systems and Silver Airways. Prior to Versa, Mr. Segall was a Managing Director of Sigoloff & Associates, Inc., an international crisis management advisory firm in Los Angeles. Mr. Segall is a member of the Chief Executives Organization (CEO) and YPO-WPO (Young/World Presidents' Organization); he is past President ('03-'09) of the Children's Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia, for which service he received the 'Turnaround of the Year (Pro Bono) Award' from the Turnaround Management Association, and a past member of the Advisory Council of the Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest University. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University, where he received his M.B.A.; he has completed the Presidents Seminar at the Harvard Business School; and he is currently a member of the Director's Leadership Council of the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (Kimmel Center, Inc.)
