John A Sellers

Co-founded Double Eagle with Cody Campbell in April 2013, with backing from Apollo Global Management LLC in 2014. Assets are primarily in the Permian Basin. Sold Anadarko Basin assets for $225 million to Aubrey McClendon in November 2014. Started out in real estate, co-founding a real-estate development company while at Texas Tech with Campbell (co-founder and co-CEO of Double Eagle).In addition to real estate and oil and gas pursuits, has been involved in a fourth-generation, family-owned cattle business. Grew up with his dad and granddad working in the cattle business. Was put in the middle of deals at a young age.
