Mr. Brown is counsel to the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP, where he was formerly a partner. A graduate of Princeton University, he has been a director of Fidelcor, Inc., and Fidelity Bank. He is a director and former Chairman of the Board of WHYY, Inc., and a former Vice Chairman of United Hospitals, Inc. Currently, Mr. Brown serves as director of the International Peace Institute and the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies. In addition, he is an overseer of the William Penn Charter School, a member of the Board of International House Center and a trustee of the Eisenhower Fellowships, Inc. Mr. Brown is a past President of the Philadelphia Council for International Visitors and a past Chairman of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Foreign Policy Research Center. Mr. Brown is Chair Emeritus of the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He formerly served on the boards of overseers of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the School of Law, and the School of Medicine. He is a former Chair and current member of the Advisory Board of the Institute on Aging, which has benefited from his longtime support. A gift from the estate of Mr. Brown's late wife, Virginia, established the Virginia Brown Fellowship for Aging and Stroke Research at the Institute. Mr. Brown has been a benefactor of the Law School, serving as co-Chair of his 55th reunion, and of the Medical Center, and has also provided support to the School of Nursing and other areas of the University.
