An advocate for the empowerment of women and youth in Pakistan, Ms. Brohi is the Founder and Executive Director of Sughar. She established this nonprofit, which means “skilled and confident women,” in 2009 to establish women’s learning and skill development centers in rural communities. Ms. Brohi’s goal is for the organization is to change the lives of one million women in Pakistan over the next 10 years. Ms. Brohi is a 2008 YouthActionNet® Laureate Global Fellow and has been named one of Newsweek magazine’s “25 under 25.” She has received awards from the Government of Pakistan and the Women in the World Foundation and has addressed numerous global forums, such as the Clinton Global Initiative’s 2013 opening plenary. Ms. Brohi joined IYF’s Board of Directors in 2015.
