Steve Oristaglio lives in the Back Bay of Boston, a few blocks from Berklee College of Music. Oristaglio has been in the financial services industry his whole career, most recently as co-chief investment officer at SCS Financial Services, LLC. Previous to that, he was managing partner at TRI Asset Management and head of investments at Putnam Investments in Boston, joining in 1998 and retiring from Putnam in 2005. Oristaglio was the global head of fixed income for Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) from 1988 to 1998, and a senior fixed income trader for Salomon Brothers International from 1984 to 1988. Altogether he spent over 10 years living in London, England for these two institutions. Prior to that, he spent several years working with various regional banking and brokerage institutions, including State Street Bank in Boston. He has a B.S. in accounting/ finance from Bucknell University (1977) and an M.S. in food economics from the University of Delaware (1979). Oristaglio is a member of several nonprofit boards and institutions involved in the arts, including Etruscan Press, which he founded with longtime friend and poet Phil Brady; the Boston Book Festival; A2 Media/Studio Finance; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay; and Bucknell University. Finally, Oristaglio loves music and has been participating with friends and family most of his life. He recently built a small recording studio in his home and made several CDs with other musicians and friends in which he sings and plays piano. His other interests include basketball, poetry, wine collecting, and traveling. He is married to Jeryl Oristaglio (since 1985) and they have three children-Siena, Jason, and Jett.
