President of the Moles in 2011, Stephen J. Barlow was born on February 21, 1949, in Clinton, Massachusetts. He attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where his family had a long history of graduates, including two uncles, a cousin, and a granduncle. Steve worked evenings after school in the material lab and worked summers as a field engineer on the Massachusetts Medical Center, He received his Civil Engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1971. His early career was with Northeastern Construction Company of Framingham, Massachusetts, where he worked as a field engineer and advanced to Superintendent, Project Manager and ultimately to Vice President. In 1982, Steve joined J.F. White Contracting Co. as Superintendent on the New England Patriot’s Stadium Renovation project. In 1996, upon completion of the work on Deer Island, and the retirement of the esteemed Philip Bonanno, Steve was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of J.F. White. Steve died on August 19, 2012, at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife, Cindy, his daughter, LeeAnn and sons, Joshua and Zachary, and two grandchildren, Allison and Patrick.
