Burton August

Philanthropist, ex-Monro Muffler

In 1969, Mr. August joined Monro Muffler, founded by his brother Charles in 1957, and helped grow the company from eight locations to 52 stores when he retired from the company in 1982. He is survived by his wife, Joan, and his four children: Burton Jr., Robert, John and Elizabeth.
