Kevin Dougherty was elected to the Supreme Court of PA in 2015. This election saw a sweep for the Democrats who received all three court vacancies, following a campaign which saw more than $15M in donations from special interest; Kevin's brother, John "Johnny Doc" Dougherty was the campaign top fundraiser with more than $3.5M. From 2001 to 2015 he served as an administrative judge of the trial division on the PA Court of Common Pleas. He received 78% of the vote in his 2011 retention election, hinting at strong support from both Democrats and Republicans. He received a JD from the Antioch School of Law in Washington, DC in 1988 and a BA from Temple University in 1985.
