Cynthia A. Colenda, Partner, is an experienced government and legislative affairs specialist who joined Alcalde & Fay in 1983 and later served as president of the International Council of Cruise Lines (ICCL). In that position, she directed the association's international and domestic regulatory programs, and public affairs initiatives. During her five-year tenure, she spearheaded the development of an Associate Membership Program that forged relationships between domestic and international businesses. She also established the Cruise Industry Charitable Foundation and continues to serve as executive director. During the 1980's, Ms. Colenda gained experience at Alcalde & Fay in federal, state and local government relations and public affairs. In addition, she participated in the development and implementation of national grassroots initiatives on behalf of firm clients. Ms. Colenda received her bachelor's degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech and earned her law degree from George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania Bars.
