Barron Gift Collier III

Barron Gift Collier III, who goes by Barry, was named after his grandfather, an advertising tycoon and pioneering American entrepreneur who founded the Naples-based company that still carries his name. Barry Collier graduated from USF’s college of business with a marketing degree in 1980, and has donated to USF since 1985, Genshaft said. Their last donation to the college was for $180,000. Barry Collier is board chairman of the Barron Collier Partnership, also known as Barron Collier Cos., which has extensive land holdings in Collier County and business interests in agriculture, real estate and mineral management. Dana Collier, a graduate of the Central Ohio Technical College, stayed home to raise their four children — Barron, Alexandra, Lara and Christopher.
