Wayne Lair Jr

Wayne Lair, Jr. has spent the last several years working as a contract lobbyist in Albany on a multitude of issues, assisting a wide breadth of clients in navigating the complex nature of New York State government and politics. Most recently Mr. Lair was Director of Government Relations for The Vandervort Group, an Albany based government affairs firm. Representing such a wide variety of clients, ranging from small businesses and associations to Fortune 500 companies, Mr. Lair helped in advancing their legislative and regulatory goals as well as other issues pursuant to the client’s needs. Prior to that Mr. Lair served as Legislative Coordinator for New York StateWatch, an Albany-based legislative tracking service. It was here as a member of the state’s Legislative Correspondents Association that Mr. Lair was responsible for coordinating reporting efforts by a team of reporters delivering news on the New York State legislature. Mr. Lair holds a B.A. in History from the University at Albany and an M.A. in Political Science from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University of Albany.
