Margaret Covert is the Director of Research for Wild Geese Foundation. Margaret spent fifteen years with NorthStar Asset Management, a progressive wealth management firm, where she conducted corporate accountability research and managed the shareholder activism program which urged companies to address policy issues, such as, limiting executive compensation, improving environmental practices, and protecting workers from discrimination. . Margaret has worked with the Boston Women’s Fund, Haymarket People’s Fund, and the Women’s Donor Network. Her political roots took hold during the anti-apartheid movement working toward college divestment.She holds a MA in Public Policy and Citizen Participation from Tufts University and a BA from Mount Holyoke College.
