Since joining Arnold & Porter LLP in 1977, Robert Garrett has focused on copyright and telecommunications law, particularly as it affects the sports and entertainment industries and the distribution of television and radio programming and music over new and traditional media. His clients have included sports leagues and clubs, municipal and foreign governments, motion picture studios, recording companies, publishers, and broadcast and cable television networks. Mr. Garrett is a cum laude graduate of Northwestern University School of Law where he served as Executive Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review, a member of the school's Moot Court team, and co-recipient of the William Jennings Bryan Award and Adlai Ewing Stevenson Award.
