Michael McCarthy is a member on the Board of Regents for the Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation since 2012. Michael has been at M&T Bank as Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager running the Long Island real estate portfolio out of Melville, Long Island since February 2013. Before joining M&T Bank, McCarthy worked for The Bank of Nova Scotia in NY where he served as Director in their Real Estate, Gaming and Leisure Group for 15 years. McCarthy received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the College of Business Administration of Fordham University at Rose Hill and a Masters in Business Administration at the Graduate School of Business of Fordham University at Lincoln Center in NY. He currently serves as the School Board President of St. Joseph School in Garden City, NY, and is the acting Co-Chair for the St. Joseph School Golf Open. McCarthy also sits on the Golf and Tennis Committee for Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY (former Co-Chairman), and is a member of The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. McCarthy is also the Vice President of Las Flores Condominiums in Redington Shores, Florida. McCarthy currently resides in Garden City, NY and is married to Irena Gecas-McCarthy who is a Principal at Deloitte. In addition the McCarthy’s have an 11 year old daughter, Julia who attends St. Joseph School.
