Mr. Lo Russo is a key member of the firm’s executive management team in the US, reporting directly to the President & CEO of the Americas. His focus is on driving growth throughout the region and overseeing all brokerage operations in the nine regional offices throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Under Mr. Lo Russo’s leadership, which began in March of 2013, the New York Tri-state region recorded the highest single revenue month in the history of the firm, completing more than 1,200 transactions with an aggregate value >$11B. In addition, the firm’s New York City offices outpaced both CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle—two of the largest publicly traded competitor firms in the world. Mr. Lo Russo’s key accomplishments also include the launch and development of a regional training and rotational program for aspiring commercial real estate professionals, “PREP” (Professional Real Estate Program); and the strategic acquisition of top talent from competitor firms to fill key sales and management roles aimed at strengthening the firms competitive advantage throughout the region. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Lo Russo spent sixteen years with Vornado Realty Trust—seven of these, as Vice President of Leasing for their New York Office Division—where he played an integral role in executing an array of commercial real estate transactions totaling in excess of six million square feet. Mr. Lo Russo is a graduate of the Stern School of Business, has a JD from New York Law School and is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association and a junior Board Member of New York Cares. Originally from Bergen County, New Jersey, Mr. Lo Russo now resides in Long Island with his wife and three young children.
