Charles W. Johnson IV represents clients on a variety of public policy matters, with an emphasis on energy, environmental, automotive, health care and homeland security issues. In addition, he provides strategic counseling on major corporate transactions. Mr. Johnson previously served as a law clerk to the House Judiciary Committee. He remains active in Democratic politics, including his participation in the 2006 U.S. Senate campaign of Harold Ford, Jr., and volunteering for Democratic Presidential campaigns. Mr. Johnson received his B.A. in political science in 1989 from Gettysburg College and his J.D. in 1994 from the Catholic University of America, where he served on the editorial board of the Catholic University Law Review and published a comment analyzing the immunity afforded Members of Congress by the Speech or Debate Clause of the U.S. Constitution. He resides in Washington, D.C., with his wife, JB, and their two children, Mac and Halle. Mr. Johnson is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland Bars.
