Cathie Michelle Levine

Cathie Michelle Levine is the daughter of Gale and Lawrence J. Levine of Rockville Centre, N.Y. In June 2002, Levine was married yesterday to Joshua Daniel Isay. Rabbi Balfour Brickner performed the ceremony at Temple Israel in Lawrence, N.Y. Levine will continue to use her name professionally. She is the publicist for ABC's ''World News Tonight With Peter Jennings.'' In 2001, she was the communications director for Comptroller Alan G. Hevesi and in 2000 was a spokeswoman for Hillary Rodham Clinton's Senate campaign. She graduated from the University of Michigan. Her father is an owner of the Par Plumbing Company, a contracting business, in Lynbrook, N.Y. Her mother is a mathematics teacher at John Adams High School in Ozone Park, Queens. The bride and bridegroom met at a party in Washington in 1995. He later hired her to be the spokeswoman for Charles E. Schumer, then a representative. But while they worked together on Mr. Schumer's Senate campaign and then on his staff after he was elected, their romance did not begin until 1999.
