Christopher Hatcher joined Williams & Jensen in early 2004. He represents clients before Congress and the Executive Branch, concentrating his practice on legislative issues surrounding taxes and trade. : Prior to joining Williams & Jensen, Mr. Hatcher was Legislative Director and Counsel for Congressman Scott McInnis (R-CO) for six years. In that role, Mr. Hatcher was responsible for handling every aspect of the Congressman's tax and trade issues on matters before the Ways and Means Committee, on which Congressman McInnis served. In addition to Ways and Means Committee responsibilities, Mr. Hatcher managed the Congressman's overall legislative agenda and played a significant role in several pieces of natural resources and environmental legislation, including the Healthy Forests Restoration Act, which were enacted into law. Finally, in 1998, Mr. Hatcher served as an associate Rules Committee staff member for Congressman McInnis. Before joining Congressman McInnis, Mr. Hatcher was an Associate from 1996 until 1998 with Bosley & Hutzelman, P.C., a specialty law firm in Virginia focused on tax, pension, and benefits issues. Prior to law school, Mr. Hatcher served in several roles at the Treasury Department during the President George H.W. Bush Administration, rising to Legislative Manager for the Office of Legislative Affairs, assisting on banking and tax issues.
