Andrew (Andy) Slentz is Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Hess Corporation, a global independent energy company engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas. Slentz is responsible for all aspects of workforce management, such as talent acquisition and management, performance management, leadership development, learning, compensation, benefits, human resource systems, organization development, employee relations and compliance. He is also a member of the Hess Leadership Team. Slentz has 30 years of international experience as an HR executive, generalist, compensation and rewards specialist, organization development leader and talent manager. Prior to joining Hess in April 2016, Slentz was with Peabody Energy, a global mining company, where he most recently held the position of Executive Vice President, Administration and Human Resources. Prior to Peabody, he progressed into increasingly senior HR leadership roles with Rio Tinto, the Drummond Company, BHP Billiton, Pirelli Cable Company and ExxonMobil. Slentz holds a bachelor’s degree in Government/Political Science from Hamilton College and a master’s degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University.
