As counsel to the House Committee on Government Reform, Ms. Tripp led House leadership efforts to reform the federal budget process, enact the line-item veto, expand government use of electronic commerce and institute federal agency network and computer security controls. She previously served as counsel to the House Subcommittee on National Security, overseeing defense activities and international cooperation on the war on drugs. Ms. Tripp served as Special Counsel to the House Rules Committee, co-authoring the 1997 revision of the House of Representatives Floor Procedures Manual. Ms. Tripp attended UCLA. and received her BA with high honors from Sweet Briar College. She earned her JD from the George Mason University School of Law and serves in both the American Bar Association and Virginia State Bar public contract law divisions.
