W. KEITH SMITH served as the Chief Executive Officer of West Penn Allegheny Health System, which is a healthcare network of five affiliated hospitals that serve Pittsburgh and the surrounding five-state area, from July 2007 to March 2008. He previously served as Vice Chairman of Mellon Financial Corporation and Senior Vice Chairman of Mellon Bank, N.A., of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as well as a director of both organizations, until his retirement in December 1998.
