Laurie Gravatt joined Bartlett & Bendall as Legislative Affairs Director from the Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc., where she was an integral part of NASDAQ’s government relations office serving as Legislative Assistant for over two years. At NASDAQ, Gravatt focused on securities issues in her lobbying of the Hill. Gravatt also coordinated congressional staff trips and Member visits to NASDAQ’s MarketSite in Times Square New York for market openings and other events. She served as NASDAQ’s PAC Administrator and as a liaison between senior management in New York and Capitol Hill. Before joining NASDAQ, Gravatt was a staffer from 1999 to 2001 for Congressman Spencer Bachus (R-AL), Chairman of the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee and senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, as well as the Judiciary Committee. Gravatt graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama.
