Kelly McNamara Corley is Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Discover Financial Services, and a member of their Executive Committee. Ms. McNamara Corley’s responsibilities include managing the legal advisory, compliance litigation, and government relation matters of Discover’s credit, banking, and transaction services businesses. Prior to joining Discover in 1999, Ms. McNamara Corley was Managing Director responsible for global government relations and corporate philanthropy programs at Morgan Stanley. Ms. McNamara Corley is a member of the Virginia and Illinois Bar Associations, the Chicago Network, and the Chicago Finance Exchange. She also serves on the boards of Haven Youth and Family Services, The HistoryMakers, and the American Financial Services Association as well as the George Mason University School of Law Advisory Board. Ms. Corley is co-author of a chapter on lobbying in the ThomsonReuters publication Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel. Her awards include the YWCA Woman of Achievement (2009); Best Legal Department Finalist – Corporate Counsel Magazine (2010); General Counsel to Watch – Corporate Board Member (2011); George Mason University Law School Alumni of the year (2011); and 2013 Women Worth Watching – Diversity Journal Magazine (2012). Ms. McNamara Corley earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
