Mr. MacVean, resident in Washington DC/Northern Virginia, has over 40 years of experience in security, investigations, business controls consulting and law enforcement. He previously served as Managing Director for Citigate Global Intelligence and was a consultant for Kroll Associates. Mr. MacVean was also the founder of PK Associates LLC, a security and investigations concern based in Northern Virginia. Mr. MacVean has worked on numerous investigations and consulted on security matters involving public and private companies throughout the world. He has directed complex, long-term, internal and external investigations and worked as a security consultant for many firms with both national and international clientele. Mr. MacVean has also assisted in the management of a brand integrity program for a Fortune 100 company. He was responsible for establishing standards of physical, personnel, and information security currently in use by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Mr. MacVean was with the DEA for more than twenty-six years. At the time of his retirement, he was the Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge of the New Orleans Field Division. In this capacity, he commanded an enforcement division that was responsible for the investigation of complex criminal conspiracies within a four-state area adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico. For more than five years of his career, Mr. MacVean was DEA’s Director of Security Programs, during which time his responsibilities included the management of security of more than 250 facilities around the world, the clearances and safety of over 10,000 employees, and the protection of DEA’s most sensitive information. Mr. MacVean has lectured to U.S. Intelligence agencies and has taught at numerous government schools in the U.S. and Latin America on matters of security. He is an internationally recognized expert in the field of technical investigative methods and has testified in civil and criminal matters at both the State and Federal levels.
