Craig Hunegs

Craig Hunegs was named President, Business and Strategy, Warner Bros. Television Group in May 2013. He is responsible for setting strategy, creating growth and managing costs for Warner Bros.’ television businesses and leads business development and operations, financial planning and media research for the Television Group. Warner Bros. is the largest producer of television series in the U.S. and produces an increasingly significant number of local series in key countries around the world. The company distributes this programming globally across traditional television networks and all other video platforms. Hunegs reports directly to Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara. Current key areas of focus and responsibility for Hunegs are the expansion and management of international local production, the growth of production for U.S. cable networks and digital program services, the evolution of distribution windows and strategy in the U.S. and the growth of Warner Bros.’ Alloy Entertainment. Hunegs also serves on the boards of The CW network and Shed Media. Previously, Hunegs served as Executive Vice President, Warner Bros. Television Group from 2006 – 2013, where he played a central role in managing the Television Group and developing, planning and executing its key initiatives, including broad licensing partnerships with Netflix and Hulu, the launch and growth of original cable series production and international local production, the formation of new linear and on-demand distribution windows, the expansion into online and wireless entertainment, the acquisitions of Alloy Entertainment and Shed Media and the creation of The CW network. From 1999 - 2006, Hunegs was Executive Vice President, Warner Bros. Television Production and, from 1997 - 1999, Executive Vice President Business and Financial Affairs, Warner Bros. Television Production. Prior to Joining Warner Bros., Hunegs was the Head of Business Affairs for The WB Network. Before that, he served as Vice President, Business Affairs for NBC Entertainment. He began his career in television as a program attorney at ABC Entertainment. Hunegs is a board member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation and a past board member of the Alliance for Children's Rights and the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Hunegs is a graduate of New York University School of Law and Colorado College.
