Joseph Stein

Joseph Stein is a partner and Managing Director in the Restructuring and Recapitalization Group. In that capacity, Mr. Stein primarily leads financing transactions for the firm’s clients including the placement of debt and equity securities with institutional investors. Since joining PJSC in 2001, Mr. Stein has participated in various advisory assignments across the firm’s three core areas of mergers and acquisitions, financing and restructuring. Mr. Stein was previously Executive Director and head of the Private Placement Group at UBS Warburg LLC, responsible for the structure and placement of senior debt, subordinated debt and mezzanine securities for both domestic and foreign issuers. With over twenty years of experience in investment banking, Mr. Stein began his career at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in asset-based finance. He has held various corporate finance positions at Citicorp Securities. Mr. Stein received an M.B.A. from William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester and a B.A. from Hobart College.
