Chris Nybo

Chris Nybo represents employers in all types of employment matters and disputes, including defending wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment and wage and hour claims. He regularly represents clients before federal and state courts, as well as state and local administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Labor and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. Chris was recognized as an Illinois Rising Star from 2010 to 2012, a distinction given to only 2.5 percent of attorneys in Illinois. He was also named a 2015 Illinois Super Lawyer in labor and employment law, an honor given to the top 5% of attorneys in the state. He is a member of the American Bar Association, and regularly speaks to industry and association groups on a variety of labor and employrment topics. After earning his law degree, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable James B. Zagel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Chris currently serves as an Illinois State Senator representing the western suburbs of Chicago in the 24th District. From 2011 to 2013, he served in the Illinois House of Representatives. Prior to his service in the legislature, he served on the board of the Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities, the Elmhurst City Council, and the DuPage County Zoning Board of Appeals.
