Alice Dreger

Professor in Medical Education-Medical Humanities and Bioethics. Dr. Dreger uses the tools of history to try to improve clinical care, scientific research, and the experience of being a patient. In addition to doing research in the history of medicine, history of science, and ethics, she writes for mainstream audiences, advises and assists medical advocacy groups, and provides pro bono historical services to victims of medical trauma.
