Douglas Snyder

Doug Snyder is a Managing Director for Starboard Value. Prior to joining Starboard Value in August 2012, Mr. Snyder was the co-founder of Longbow Capital, an equity long/short fund which managed $1.5 billion. At Longbow, Mr. Snyder led all aspects of the Firm’s marketing and relationship management. Mr. Snyder had direct input into the Firm’s portfolio and risk management processes and was the Firm’s trader from 2004-2009. In addition, Mr. Snyder managed all sell-side relationships as well as those with the Firm’s service providers and counterparties. Lastly, Mr. Snyder was in charge of all aspects of running the Firm’s business, finance, operations, human resources and compliance. Mr. Snyder began his career within the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. Mr. Snyder received a BA in Government from Georgetown University during which time he spent two years working in the speech writing office of the White House.
