Stephanie Fuerstner Gillis leads Arabella’s Philanthropy Management line of business, focused on services for families and individual donors. She joined Arabella as a part of the firm’s acquisition of Blueprint Research + Design, Inc., where she was the COO and a senior consultant, and has been working with philanthropy clients for over 15 years. She has an extensive background in evaluation, program strategy, and program design, as well as substantive expertise in youth development, education, arts education, organizational capacity building, family foundations, and philanthropy, among other areas. Prior to consulting, Stephanie worked for over 10 years in the nonprofit sector, including positions with the Youth Leadership Institute (a Bay Area youth development organization), the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Center for Youth Development and Policy Research, and the Institute for Defense and Disarmament Studies. She has served on the boards of a number of organizations, including College Kids and Food Runners, and is currently co-chair of the Site Council at Commodore Sloat Elementary School. Stephanie has an MA in public policy with a focus on youth development policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a BA in political science and international relations from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She also studied at the Universitá di Padova in Italy, speaks German and Italian, and holds Swiss citizenship.
